Hello World my name is Bill Jackson. I am originally from Montgomery, Alabama. Earned an Art Degree from Alabama State University in 1974. After graduating in 1974, I moved to Chicago, Illinois. After the move I enrolled at The American Academy Of Art concentrating in Advertising Illustration. I left the Academy to accept a position with a Chicago based magazine, (Aim Magazine) as Art Director and Cover Illustrator. I remained there for nine years.
I also started work as an Advertising Artist for the Sears Chicago Group Advertising Dept., and remained there for fourteen years. While still at Aim and Sears I met Diane Deaderick, the Author of the famous 1988 Edition of Princess Ava and Prince Kali, which I illustrated. I returned to Montgomery in 1991 and worked as a Graphic Artist and Printer for the Montgomery Regional Medical Center. In 1992 I Illustrated another successful book, a coloring book, The Deer In The Big Forest, written by Betsy Taff, commissioned and published by the Alabama Children's Trust Fund. I returned to Chicago in October 2007. I have recently finished illustrating the Second Edition of Princess Ava and Prince Kali, March of 2008.
